OUR STORY

A family is walking in a field in front of a dome tent.

Hi, I’m Vicki and together with my husband Bryan and two children Annabelle and William, we run Tractors & Cream.

We moved to Somerset from Surrey 12 years ago with the hope of starting a business, not knowing what that might be! We went on a goat-keeping course before quickly deciding that wasn’t for us, so we decided with our hospitality background (we met working at a hotel) that we would start a glamping business.

I am a partner, head of housekeeping, head of accounts, chief baker, head toilet cleaner, operations manager, bricklayer and general builder, concierge and my favourite of all, chief memory maker!

Bryan works full time in Bristol but is also a partner, head gardener, chief drain unblocker, tractor driver and head dome builder!

Annabelle and William are assistant housekeepers and chief brownie testers and head of ensuring everyone has enough marshmallows around the campfire!

If you need us we live on site so can help you out with anything you might need.

FAQ

  • Q: What time is check and check out at Tractors and Cream Glamping Somerset?

A: You can arrive any time after 3:30pm and check out is 10:30am – if you have time we always appreciate if you can strip your beds.

  • Q: Can we have food delivered to our Somerset glamping site?

    A: Yes absolutely!

There’s no need to cook whilst glamping.

  • Q: Do you allow pets?

A: No, we do not allow pets due to the local wildlife and animals in neighbouring farms. We are really family friendly and are aware that not all children are comfortable with unfamiliar dogs.

  • Q: What is the maximum occupancy of each dome?

A: Each of our glamping domes can sleep 5 people plus a travel cot but the smaller domes are more suited to families of 4

  • Q: Do you supply bedding and towels?

A: We supply all bedding but you will need to bring your own towels and tea towels.

  • Q: Why is there a 2 night minimum?

A: We feel that one night glamping in Somerset just isn’t long enough to get the full Tractors and Cream experience and to unwind and relax in the peaceful Somerset surroundings.

  • Q: Is there electricity in the domes?

A: There is no mains electricity in the domes.

We have solar panels which power lighting in the domes, toilet and kitchen. You can also plug a mobile phone charger into the USB plug in the kitchen huts

  • Q: What cooking facilities are there?

A: Each structure has its own kitchen with a camping stove and kettle, pots pans, cutlery and crockery, water dispenser and it’s own BBQ. There is a communal full kitchen a short walk away with oven, hob, kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery, salt, pepper and cooking oil

  • Q: Do you have a hot tub?

A: No, I’m afraid we do not have hot tubs.

Claas Dome & Fendt Dome do have an outdoor baths!

The regulations require each hot tub to have chemicals and a full water change in between each guest and we feel this is a tremendous waste of water and goes against our environmental ethics.

SUSTAINABILITY

A person is holding a small plant in their hands.

We care about our planet! That’s why we built Tractors & Cream to be as eco-friendly as possible.

Our cosy glamping domes are built right here in the UK and our bases are made from recycled plastic bottles. They're powered by the sun, so you can relax knowing you're not adding to your carbon footprint. Forget about noisy hot tubs – our quiet jacuzzi baths are powered by the sun too, and the water even helps our trees grow!

We love our local community and use fresh, nearby ingredients in our honesty shop. Our wood burners are fueled by sustainable wood, keeping you warm without harming the environment. We're planting lots of trees to help clean the air, and we're working hard to make our whole business eco-friendly.

Join us for a guilt-free getaway!

ACCESSIBILITY & INCLUSIVITY

At Tractors and Cream, we want everyone to be able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and connect with nature. We want to create an experience that is accessible for everyone.

Guests with limited mobility and wheelchair users

When booking your dome please call us on 07718-390097 to determine suitability for your particular needs.

You are able to drive up and park right next to all of our domes and will experience one step up into the domes which all have a standard width door.

For children who are neuro-diverse

All of our domes have large spaces between them so you can feel relaxed and secluded. If you have a neuro-diverse child then we can offer a safe and relaxing holiday for you and them. During the term time in the mid-weeks our site is often quieter so if you feel that you would benefit from the site to yourself then please get in touch and we can let you know quieter times when you can have the whole site to yourself. We are happy to talk to you about anything that we can put in place to make your stay perfect for you and your child.

Assistance dogs

We usually do not allow dogs on site but assistance dogs are able to stay free of charge. Please call us to arrange an assistance dog to your booking.

If you require any additional help please email info@tractorsandcream.co.uk
